[WATCH OUT]: Vegan Timepieces

A friend recently told me that she saw a watch she loved but then found out the straps were made from leather. Lately, I've been so pleased that my friends and family have approached me and started talking about vegan options and discussing the alternatives. When I first started this blog, all I wanted to do was inform my friends, family and readers about animal friendly options when it came to fashion as I found people just really weren't aware (much like I was a few years ago). Hearing my friend's frustration in finding out that the watch she really wanted was made from leather 1) made me incredibly happy knowing that there are kind and caring people out there that would love to avoid buying animal products and 2) gave me a fantastic idea for a blog post.

[TRENDING]: Suede Alternatives

Did you know that Suede is a leather? I didn't until I started looking into non animal products and materials. Suede is usually made from the underside skin of a lamb, goat, calf or deer as opposed to the tougher skin used for other leather goods.

Now thanks to the internet, giving a gift can be potentially awkward because after just a few clicks, one can see where you purchased the gift and how much you paid for it. But if you are truly giving from the heart it's all about the thought right?

[LAYERING]: Layering For The Warmer Months

One of my favourite things about Winter and Autumn is that I get to cram as many pieces as I can into one outfit i.e. layering. It gives you the chance to wear multiple awesome pieces in your wardrobe and layering during the hotter months shouldn't be any different.

[MULES]: An Old Friend That's Here To Stay

Think clogs, but more farshun.

Looking back at where my obsession with shoes began, I think the first pair of "high heels" I wore were a pair of extremely high wedged mules that belonged to my best friend about 15 years ago when we were about 10 or 11. I was completely obsessed with them and used to make any excuse under the sun to wear them and found myself wearing them to every (adult accompanied) shopping trip or hang out. NB. They were also the go to shoe for the over 60s but who remembers that anyways?

[SWAP]: Five Fashion Must Haves

We're moving into Spring here in Australia which means some days will be brilliantly sunny, whilst others (mostly) will be slightly cold and unfortunately rainy. I've put together some fashion must haves and paired them up with their cruelty free (and can I mention, more affordable) options.
